As we get close to the end of 2021, that means we are getting closer to the beginning of the 2022 Legislative Session in Colorado. As you know PIIAC is in the trenches day-to-day at the statehouse. Our two lobbyists, Daniel Furman with Hall and Evans, LLC, and Jennifer Cassell with Bowditch & Cassell, ensure that PIIAC members are represented daily at the statehouse.
We do not wait for the session to begin to start game-planning for what is to come. We start now so we are prepared. This is our spring training. Our lobbyists and Government Affairs Committee track every bill. We discuss any issues that could affect our members and we get involved whenever we need to.
Government Affairs and representation at the statehouse is one of PIIAC’s core functions for our members. If you want to get involved with the PIIAC Government Affairs Committee, click here. You will receive invites to all the committee meetings as well as updates on any bills we are following. The big change for this year is that our meetings will be virtual so those throughout the state can attend. During the session the meetings start early, so grab a cup of coffee and join in. We always need more voices on this committee.
