WE PUBLISH THE COIN FOUR TIMES per year. For each publication, I am tasked with writing an article – an article that I hope people will read. For many of these articles, I talk about all the great attributes of the independent agent channel. We are seeing a changing landscape and continually seeing changes that are impacting the way our member agencies do business. We continue to evaluate our offerings and resources that PIIAC provides and will continually add new resources and benefits for the betterment of our members.
2022 brought us the continued evolution out of the COVID-19 pandemic. We saw year over year growth at our annual convention and trade show in Blackhawk. This year’s event was fun for everyone! In 2022 we also saw great growth in our market access program, allowing for the distribution of over $1 million in profit sharing to our member agencies. We take tremendous pride in this number. As we prepare for 2023, we are excited for the many things we are working on. You will see a revamped calendar with a great event planned for the spring. The Nabity golf tournament will be on June 12, 2023 at the Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen. As you know, this event always sells out months in advance! To wrap up our big events, we will return to Blackhawk in September for our annual conference that will have a new look and feel.
In addition to the events we will be hosting, you will see more new products being launched. We will continue to focus on the technology needs of our members. All our members will be signed up for Catalyit and have the necessary resources to help their agencies leverage the necessary technology solutions. We will continue to add products to our market access program and look for feedback from our members regarding products they would like to see. We know our members are continuing to struggle with a hardening property market. We are working with all stakeholders to determine where we can offer some relief on this difficult line of business.
As we move through 2023, we want to hear more from you. Feedback is what will make us better. We want to meet our members where they are and continue to be the resource for the independent agent channel here in Colorado.
