The return of the PIIAC convention is less than two weeks away. Our staff is getting ready, and we are excited to see everyone in person. We know this year’s convention will be different than in years past however, we are confident that it will still be a great event. Our goal for this convention is to take another step to towards getting back to normalcy. We want people to come enjoy themselves, learn new things, meet new people, and see old friends.

The first day will be our sold-out trade show with a Roaring 1920’s theme. Be sure to dress accordingly! We have a variety of vendors this year, from companies, premium finance companies, tech companies and more. As always, food and beverages will be served and available during the trade show. After the trade show wraps up, we will head to a night of fun (poker tournament/hospitality suite.) The first day will sure be fun!

The second day will start with breakfast followed by some fun networking events to allow us to meet some new people and get to know our current friends better. Kenyon Salo, the keynote speaker, will follow the next working event. Kenyon is known as the “James Bond of Motivational Speaking” and will provide an inspiring discussion. The next event will be our luncheon which includes the induction of the 2021-2022 PIIAC Board of Directors. Following lunch, everyone will break away to their preferred breakout session.

This year we are very excited to offer our agency principals an in-depth, four-hour training all about perpetuation planning.  We have three experts scheduled to share their knowledge on how to plan, where to start and how to go about accessing financing. Those attending who are not agency principals will choose from a three-hour ethics course or three hours on cyber coverages and security. Wrapping up the final hour of the breakout sessions is a one-hour presentation on specialty lines coverages and a one-hour update on surplus lines

The final event of the convention is the cocktail reception and annual dinner. During the annual dinner, we will be presenting our industry awards. This includes account manager, insurance person, company person, underwriter, large agency, and small agency of the year. The voting was intense this year and we had many close races. To wrap up the event, Gary Frisch will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award; Gary has given so much to us and we are very excited to give this award. During the annual dinner you also will hear a bit from me. I promise to keep it short 😊.

We want everyone to come join us for two fun and educational days. Stay the night (rooms are very reasonably priced), be safe and enjoy the camaraderie of your peers and company partners alike.  We look forward to seeing you there!
